Fire


On February 8, there was a fire on the hill near where I live. My house is at the start of Atawhai Drive and the fire started just down near Iwa road which is very close. It started at 2:30 in the afternoon and by 3:30 I reckon they had it under control. It was very scary and mum and I were very nervous but gradually we became more confident it was going to be fine. Many people reckon it was arson but thanks helicopters in the Nelson region it was easier for them to get it out.
