On Friday 21st August, I went and watched the Tasman Makos rugby team
play the Bay of Plenty at Trafalgar Park in Nelson. It was a well packed crowd and I really
enjoyed the game. There were high profile players in both squads, including Nathan Harris ,with the
Bay of Plenty, who has played for the All Blacks and Martyn Banks who starred in the Super
Rugby Final with the Otago Highlanders.
It was a good match and Tasman went on to win by 33 to 13. I am looking forward
to Nelson hosting another game on the 16th of September against North Harbour
which I will also be going to.
