I find Sky TVcricket commentator,
Simon Doull, quite rude and nasty. I get the impression he doesn't like centres
such as Nelson hosting Black Caps games. For what reason. I simply don't
understand. Yes, Nelson has to perform to earn Black Caps games with good
crowds and a good pitch. If Nelson doesn't then no it doesn't deserve international
cricket. However, I think Nelson does well. We never get big teams like England,
Australia or India visiting. But I think Nelson should get a test match against
someone like Ireland or Afghanistan and maybe a big game with South Africa one
day. Simon just doesn't just attack Nelson, he attacks the Basin Reserve in
Wellington as well as Hagley Oval in Christchurch. But when it comes to
Auckland's Eden Park or McLean Park in Napier he thinks they are great cricket
grounds. However, in my opinion, they are not great cricket grounds they are rugby
grounds. I have a challenge for Simon Doull. Next time he comes to Nelson I am prepared
to cook him up a Canterbury potato and a Pukekohe potato and see which one he eats
first. It's time for Simon to play nice.Saturday, April 28, 2018
