In
the week starting from the 8th December through to the 12th there is a national
netball tournament being hosted at the Trafalgar Centre In Nelson. It has domestic
sides from all round NZ playing each other. I met former Silver Fern now coach Julie Seymour in town and she was very
nice and easy to talk too. I was also lucky enough
to meet coach Debbie Fuller and Silver Ferns World Cup winning coach Noeline
Taurua who got made a Dame in the New Years Honors list I think Nelson should host more big events because
we have top class weather for sport. It is good for Nelson whether it be the
Blacks Caps or Mako or netball it brings money to the region and makes Nelson
no longer a sleepy city.Thursday, January 2, 2020
