On August 17th, Nelson was hit by 1 in 100 year flood and over 233 people were evacuated from their properties. It was truly frightening and our backyard was like a swimming pool although it has gone down now. Nelson City was similar to what it was like in Level 4 COVID, a ghost town. I have never seen anything like it.
