New Ministers.

I am so pleased Rino  Tiraketene and Ginny Andersen have been appointed Labour party cabinet ministers. Rino has picked up the Minister of Courts role. I first met Rino way back in 2011 when he was running for the Māori South Island seat of Te Tai Tonga which goes from Porirua in Wellington to the bottom of South Island. He is always cheerful when he sees me which makes me feel good. I am also happy Ginny Andersen from Hutt South has been appointed the Minister of Senior Citizens. I hope Ginny can retain the seat of Hutt South in which she has a 3777 majority. I think Chris Hipkins is a better leader than I originally thought he would be. I think National are stuck despite having a new leader, Christopher Luxon, who was promoted by Judith Collins and Gerry Brownlee who are well past their use by dates as is Maureen Pugh who never beat Damien O'Connor in 3 attempts yet is the National junior whip and Michael Woodhouse who has never won a seat after 5 attempts in Dunedin North. National are still living in the past with policies such as 'boot camps' which have never worked. I think it is going to be a close election.
