In May 2023, Nelson had a lot rain but thankfully no damage. I believe it is down to global warming and I believe it will happen a lot more because of climate change. I think it's important that government takes note because, sadly, lives could be lost. While I think government could do more for climate change I think our government has prepared for these events. However, I know if Christopher Luxon becomes Prime Minister he will stop floods by doing our father. I don't believe he will solve the problem, in fact Tories are very hands off. I think Jacinda, as Prime Minister during COVID-19, saved thousands of lives. Whereas National would have been hands off.
