The Floods
On the week of the 12th to the 16th of December, Nelson got hit by the biggest storm in fifty years. It freaked me out having all that rain in Nelson. I was shocked to hear and see people who live in Milton Street, Grove Street and Halifax Street having to be evacuated. It rained and rained so hard that our backyard was flooded and was almost like a swimming pool. I felt really scared when I heard Emergency Services going past. I hope I never see anything like this again in my life.
