On Saturday, I got a surprise in the mail. It was a
letter from Senator John Kerry, who ran for President in 2004 against George W
Bush. I wrote to Senator Kerry on July 4th so it was huge a surprise
that his reply turned up only three weeks later I thought it might have turned up
maybe October or November. I was very pleased.
One of things he told me
was that a few weeks ago he visited the Mount Ida College in Newton,
Massachusetts to deliver the school’s commencement address. He also sent me a
signed photo and thanked me for writing to him.
