Aspergers and Cricket.
Having autism can have it ups and downs, like anything in life. I also
have aspergers which means I have different talents. I am like a cricket
Wikipedia. I used to play cricket when I lived in Tahunanui and I love
reading about the game. In 1989, when I was aged seven, my dad got
permission from then Tahunanui School Principal Ray Carter to take me
to the Basin Reserve in Wellington and watch the New Zealand V Pakistan
one day international match. I remember having a Wellington pie for the
first time and spitting it into the bin because it was full of mutton
and was disgusting. I remember Ian Smith and Martin Crowe guiding New
Zealand home with 6 Wickets in hand. It was a great day that I have
never forgotten about.
