On August 4th, I went to see the Mako play Otago at Trafalgar Park. It was the first NPC game of the season. NPC is my favourite rugby competition and it is always good when All Blacks who have not been picked play in it. The Mako are developing plenty of All Blacks and there are six who have been picked for the current World Cup squad. My favourite Mako is Quinton Strange who plays for the Crusaders and is close to All Blacks selection. He went to Japan with NZA in July. The next Mako game is in Blenheim on August 12th against Auckland.
